2023-2024 Learn To Skate
LTS is for kids who are just learning how to skate, and our goal is to simply get them comfortable on the ice and learn the fundamentals of skating. We will also teach some basic hockey skills. You’ll be taught by our USA Hockey certified GHPYH coaching staff.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Kids between the ages of 4 through 10, who are just learning how to skate.
*For those who just finished or have completed a Learn to Skate session, the next step would be to register for our Learn to Play Program.

All sessions last 10 weeks.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
We run two separate registrations during the year to choose from:
Fall Session - $150
Saturdays, October 14th to December 16th
OR
Winter Session - $150
Saturdays, January 6th to March 9th.
These 10 week sessions are held on Saturday mornings from 10am-10:50am
Where
Where are the Learn To Skate sessions held?
Veterans Memorial Rink located at 137 Monument St, Haverhill, MA. in back of the High School.

How much does this cost?
Our Learn To Skate 2023-2024 sessions:
Fall Session - $150
or
Winter Session - $150
WHAT TO WEAR\BRING?
- A HECC approved Hockey Helmet with full face cage
- Single blade hockey skates.
- Warm gloves. (Strongly encourage hockey style gloves for safety)
- We recommend that your child wear elbow, kneepads or shin pads

What if I have already completed a Learn to Skate session?
For those who just finished or have already completed a Learn to Skate session, or feel that your child has enough experience skating to move on to the next level, we offer a Learn to Play program. Click on the Learn to Play link to register for 2023-2024 season.
Do I need to attend every session?
No, you are not required to attend every session.

2023-24 Learn To Skate Fall
Our 10 Week Learn to Skate program, is an in-house program for kids ages 4-10, that occurs every Saturday morning at Veteran's Memorial skating rink in Haverhill (behind the Haverhill High School).
Learn to skate is open to boys and girls ages 4-10, living in the Massachusetts communities of Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac, West Newbury and other surrounding Massachusetts and New Hampshire towns.
LTS is for kids who are just learning how to skate, and our goal is to simply get them comfortable on the ice and learn the fundamentals of skating. We will also teach basic hockey skills. You’ll be taught by our USA Hockey certified GHPYH coaching staff. Our coaching staff has satisfactory CORI reports (criminal background checks).
This registration is for the 10 week Fall Session, October 14th to December 16th.
